M&M’S Brings Colorful Celebration to Super Bowl LVIII with New Ad Campaign

M&M’S®, a beloved brand from Mars, Incorporated’s impressive portfolio, is set to make a vibrant return to the Super Bowl LVIII with a new 30-second ad spot. This announcement promises to deliver a fun-filled experience to all fans on Super Bowl Sunday, regardless of the game’s outcome.

Set to air during the first commercial break of the first quarter, M&M’S®’s latest ad will continue the brand’s legacy of creating memorable Super Bowl moments. Leveraging its purpose to use fun to include everyone, M&M’S® aims to build on the iconic moments Mars has delivered in past Super Bowls. These include the widely acclaimed “Spokescandies on Pause” campaign, which won a Gold Lion Award for Creative Strategy at the Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity, and the memorable 2010 SNICKERS® “You’re not You” spot, ranked as the #1 Super Bowl commercial over the last twenty-five years by USA Today.

Gabrielle Wesley, Chief Marketing Officer at Mars Wrigley North America, highlighted M&M’S®’s cultural relevance and enduring appeal. “For over 80 years, M&M’S® has been a source of entertainment and excitement,” she said. “Our presence at the Super Bowl over the past two decades has been significant, and we’re thrilled to continue our relationship with the NFL.”

Produced by BBDO New York, the upcoming ad marks M&M’S® ninth appearance in a Super Bowl ad, a tradition dating back to 1998. This latest campaign aligns with Mars’ focus on bringing more football fun through its diverse brand portfolio.

Mars’ presence will also be felt at the Super Bowl Experience at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, with SNICKERS as the presenting sponsor of the NFL Network Total Access Desk activation. Additionally, SNICKERS Ice Cream will treat fans to complementary SNICKERS Ice Cream Bars from a custom truck at the Gameday Experience.
