CBS ‘virtually sold out’ of ad space for Super Bowl LV
The Super Bowl now has a loaded roster of advertisers.
A representative for ViacomCBS told Variety that it has “virtually sold out” of ad space for the NFL title game on Feb. 7 between the Kansas City Chiefs and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, which will air on CBS.
The final piece of commercial airtime for the upcoming broadcast was purchased Tuesday, sources told Variety, which reports that CBS aimed to sell 30-second slots for $5.5 million.
This development comes despite numerous major advertisers opting not to air commercials during this year’s Super Bowl as the COVID-19 pandemic continues to present murky economic conditions.
