Kelly Clarkson Set to Perform National Anthem at Super Bowl XLVI

All eyes will be on Kelly Clarkson on Feb. 5, when she tackles the National Anthem at Super Bowl XLVI. After Christina Aguilera famously flubbed the lyrics at last year’s game, the former American Idol winner faces the arduous task of belting out the opening number — lyrics in tact.

Shortly after The Associated Press reported the news, Clarkson retweeted an article via her Twitter account, confirming the performance. The NFL has not yet officially made the announcement, but is expected to later this month.
