CBS Finds Some Super Bowl Sales Success
The recession affected advertisers’ interest in this year’s game, and there were indications that Super Bowl XLIV, to be played on Feb. 7, 2010, could be even harder hit. But marketers continue to sign up to sponsor the coming game. The most recent is Cars.com, which will return for the third year in a row, the company said on Monday. Large gains in Cars.com site awareness and traffic following last years spot, was a deciding factor. The 2009 Super Bowl ad also drove results to the site’s mobile application. The online auto-vertical giant will air one 60-second commercial in the first half, bulding on last year’s popular David Abernathy “Lifetime of Confidence” ad. The new ad is currently in development by DDB, Chicago.
