Monster, NFL Reach Sponsorship Deal That Includes Super Bowl Ad
By Larry DiTore
(Bloomberg) — Monster Worldwide Inc. and the National Football League announced a multiyear sponsorship agreement that will make the operator of the world’s biggest online job-search site the official career services sponsor of the NFL.
The agreement includes advertising during the Super Bowl, the league’s championship game. Financial terms weren’t disclosed in a joint news release.
The Super Bowl is typically the biggest television draw in the U.S. each year. The New York Giants’ upset win over the New England Patriots last February earlier drew a record 97.5 million viewers.
Under the agreement, Monster will air a commercial during February’s Super Bowl. The company will also team with the NFL for an in-game spot aimed at launching a Monster-NFL promotion.
As part of the deal, Monster also becomes an official sponsor of the NFL’s draft, playoffs, and Pro Bowl.
