Rap mogul Sean “Puffy” Combs is set to make his Super Bowl debut in an ad for Diet Pepsi, The Post has learned.
The star-studded 30-second spot — which also features sexy “Desperate Housewives” star Eva Longoria and former supermodel Cindy Crawford — shows Combs headed to an awards show when his car breaks down.
He spies a nearby Pepsi truck that will serve as a lift. When he pulls up to the red carpet lined with celebrities and paparazzi, his coolness factor immediately makes the borrowed Pepsi truck the new must-have ride.
A spokeswoman for Pepsi declined to confirm the spot, saying the company has yet to make a decision on which ads it will air during the game. A rep for Combs also declined to comment.
Filmed by legendary ad director Joe Pytka and shot last week in Los Angeles, the spot marks the first time the hip-hop entrepreneur has promoted a product outside his own lines of business — which include Bad Boy Entertainment and Sean Jean clothing.
Pepsi is rolling out a celebrity extravaganza for the Feb. 6 game, set to air on Fox. The beverage giant has bought six 30-second spots, which sell for an average price of $2.4 million each. Fox and The Post are both owned by News Corp.
A spokeswoman for the ad agency declined to comment.
Crawford’s appearance is a nod to her memorable Diet Pepsi Super Bowl ads during the 1990s.
