NFL Network To Replay Super Bowl XXXVIII Commercials After Game

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

For the first-time ever on television, NFL Network will replay commercials from the current Super Bowl.

After the game’s conclusion at 11:00 PM ET on Sunday, Feb. 1, 2004, NFL Network will run Super Bowl XXXVIII Commercials Presented by AOL, a 30-minute special that replays commercials from Super Bowl XXXVIII in a back-to-back format.

NFL Network will not air any of its normal commercial inventory during this special, and instead telecast an entire show made up solely of the advertisements that appear on CBS’s broadcast of Super Bowl XXXVIII.

Following the game, America Online, sponsor of the AOL TopSpeed Super Bowl XXXVIII Halftime Show, will present its biggest-ever advertising poll, allowing millions of fans to view this year’s Super Bowl commercials and vote for their favorite. AOL and AOL.com are the exclusive online destinations to view and vote on the Super Bowl ads. Starting January 22, AOL will also allow fans to view an array of historic Super Bowl commercials and vote for their favorite.

‘Super Bowl XXXVIII Commercials Presented by AOL epitomizes the unique programming NFL Network delivers to our broad audience,’ said Steve Bornstein, NFL Network President & CEO. ‘We’re happy to partner with AOL on this special and will continue to offer our fans unprecedented access to the NFL all year long.’

“The commercials have become a big part of the viewing experience,’ said Len Short, Executive Vice President of Brand Marketing, AOL. ‘We’re pleased to team with the NFL to give fans a chance to relive the Super Bowl ads on NFL Network, and to present our Super Bowl advertising poll, which will give millions of fans the chance to view and vote for their favorite Super Bowl commercials online.’
