LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) – Football’s big game is only a couple of weeks away and those who have bought ad time and busily making sure that they get the most 30-second bang for their buck. After all, its going to be seen by over 80 million people.
In addition to making use of their 13-year partnership with sports legend Michael Jordan, Hanes is stacking the deck by including international superstar Jackie Chan in an ad for their new line of “tagless” t-shirts to air during Super Bowl XXXVII.
“Where better to advertise than during a game where more than a third of all men watching are actually wearing Hanes,” says John Ceneviva, Hanes’ senior vice president of branding. “Whether it’s underwear, socks, T-shirts or sweats, more men will be wearing Hanes on that Sunday than any other brand, so it’s a great fit — no pun intended.”
No details about the spot are available, but given the common problem of scratchy tags and Chan’s expertise in intricate acrobatics, an obvious connection can be made.
