Dell Servers and Desktops to Power Super Bowl XXXVI
AUSTIN, Texas–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Dell today announced that the National Football League (NFL) will install Dell servers and Dell – EMC storage systems exclusively over the next 12 months.
Dell also will serve as the official computer systems provider of Super Bowl XXXVI, scheduled for Feb. 3 at the Louisiana Superdome in New Orleans.
As part of the agreement, the League will install Dell servers to help ensure reliable, consistent communication between the league and the teams. For the Super Bowl, Dell PowerEdge 6450 servers will process game-day statistics and manage behind-the-scenes tasks. The NFL will also use Dell computer systems in the temporary offices the NFL establishes in New Orleans in the weeks leading up to the Super Bowl.
