USA TODAY and CBS Television Network Host Online Vote for Greatest Super Bowl Commercials of All Time
Results to be Announced on CBS Television Network Special January 27
WASHINGTON /PRNewswire/ — USA TODAY and CBS Television Network are offering their viewers an opportunity to vote for their favorite Super Bowl commercial of all time. Between now and January 24, users can log on to http://favoritead.usatoday.com to watch the ten best Super Bowl commercials and cast a vote for their favorite.
A panel of USA TODAY reporters and producers of the CBS Television Network special Super Bowl’s Greatest Commercials selected 10 commercials dating back to 1977 as the most innovative, humorous or memorable Super Bowl ads of all time. Commercials from Xerox, Coke, Apple Computer, Nike, McDonalds, Pepsi, Frito-Lay, Anheuser-Busch and E-Trade are among the top ten selected for the online vote.
The winner from the online vote at USATODAY.com will be announced on Saturday, January 27, at 8 p.m. ET on the CBS Television Network special Super Bowl’s Greatest Commercials. Results will appear on USATODAY.com on Sunday, January 28.
In addition to participation in CBS Television Network’s Super Bowl’s Greatest Commercials, USA TODAY will also host its 13th annual Ad Meter for Super Bowl 2001. USA TODAY founded the USA TODAY Super Bowl Ad Meter in 1989. Ad Meter is an exclusive poll to determine the top commercial spot during the Super Bowl.
