The big game is still nearly three months away, but time is running out to buy a Super Bowl ad.
CBS has nearly sold out all of the 30-second spots for the NFL championship the network will air Feb. 7, Advertising Age reported yesterday. Ads range in price from $2.5 million to $3 million.
The industry publication, quoting a CBS executive, said advertisers have booked nearly 90 percent of the approximately 62 spots for the Super Bowl XLIV broadcast from south Florida.
Monster.com, the Maynard-based online job site, reportedly will match rival Careerbuilder.com with an ad. Other brands spending big bucks are Bridgestone, GoDaddy.com, Pepsi and Budweiser.
Super Bowl advertising stalwarts General Motors and FedEx also may return after sitting out last year’s game because of the recession.
